Aloe Vera Concentrate
Aloe Vera is a well known plant for the gel that can be pressed (or
scraped) from the leaves. It is grown in warm climates, and cannot
tolerate frost or extreme cold. It has a long history of use in herbal and
traditional medicines.
Aloe Vera Concentrate is a concentrated liquid from the leaves of Aloe Vera (Aloe barbadensis miller). The concentrate is prepared from the leaves, which are gently hand-filleted to remove the rind, and then the inner gel is expressed, filtered and concentrated using low temperature evaporation techniques. The final stage is the removal of impurities and color, to produce a pale brown liquid that will be clear when
reconstituted. The Concentrate is a 1:10 ratio. To extend this back to original levels add 1 part Aloe Vera Concentrate to 9 parts water. This makes 100% Aloe
Vera Gel. It is important to note that Aloe Vera gel is not a solid gel, as
with Sclerotium Gum, rather it is a watery liquid.
