There are certain natural essential oils that have strong aphrodisiac properties. When used correctly they can effect our system to help spice up our love life. Here are some natural essential oils that have been known to be strong aphrodisiacs.

Rose – Rose oil is a popular choice for perfume because of its floral, romantic aroma. Cleopatra was rumored to use roses and milk in her baths. Rose oil has deep romantic roots and will set the mood right away.

Jasmine – Jasmine is a favorite natural essential oil. Women can use jasmine essential oil behind their ears, or on the back of their neck, to stimulate their partner. It also has the property to be uplifting to add confidence.

Ylang-ylang – Ylang-ylang oil is a favorite choice for many people. Similar to the scent of jasmine, it is a very attractive, exotic natural essential oil. Ylang-ylang is associated with weddings and honeymoons because of its aphrodisiac properties.

Vanilla – Vanilla was considered such a special scent that Pre-Columbian Indians used it when worshipping their Gods. It has a subtle effect, but can not be easily ignored. Vanilla is a very sweet aroma, and can be used with other oils well.

Clary Sage – Clary sage is a natural essential oil with a nutty fragrance and fruity overtone. It is often used for boosting libidos and can quickly improve sexual moods. One way to use clary sage is to add a few drops to your massage oil to start lovemaking off with a full body massage.

Patchouli – Patchouli oil has been around for Centuries and regained popularity in the 1960s. Patchouli oil is an aphrodisiac that appeals to both men and women because of its strong, earthy aroma. It also is a good treatment for loss of libido and interest in sex and other sexual malfunctions.

Sandalwood – Sandalwood’s aphrodiasiac properties have been recorded throughout history for thousands of year. It’s sensual, oriental scent can be pungent and musty – but mixes well with other sweet scents such as rose, basil and lavender. Research scientists discovered sandalwood produces something similar to androsterone, or men’s underarm perspiration. They believe sandalwood sends out unperceptable, but highly erotic, signals to the opposite sex.
