Description of Shea Butter

Shea Butter is a solid Butter that melts on skin contact. Excellent for very dry skin, it moisturizes and softens the skin. Because of its high levels of vitamins A & E, it provides nourishment to both skin and hair, revitalizing and softening without leaving a greasy residue.

Gentle warming in a bowl of hot water will melt the butter so you can add your essential oils.

Interesting Facts about Shea Butter
  • Derived from the seeds of the Karite Nut of the Magnolia Tree in Africa
  • Indigenous African tribes have used Shea Butter for centuries to protect their skin from the harsh conditions encountered in the southern region of the Sahara Desert
  • Not tested on animals
  • Does not contain animal products

  • Can be used alone as a moisturizer or lip balm
  • May be combined with other softeners for skin treatment
  • Can be used in massage as a balm for sore muscles, burns, wounds and rheumatism, with the butter melting into the skin as soon as it is applied.
