Description of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil Extra
The scent of Ylang Ylang Extra
essential oil is intensely sweet, slightly spicy,
balsamic, rich, floral odor. The oil is pale yellow. It is produced by steam and water distillation of the freshly picked flowers. The flowers originate from a fast growing evergreen tree. The tree bears numerous large, yellow-green, strongly scented flowers. The yellow flowers are considered best for extraction of
essential oils. In Java the flowers are strewn on the bed of newlyweds
There are six recognised fractions of Ylang Ylang

The fractions are usually separated by controlling the specific gravity of the distillate. By controlling the specific gravity, producers make the interuptions at the moment when they feel that the oil can be classified within one of the above fractions. The Aromatherapy Place offers five of the six fractions. Visit each Ylang Ylang page to see which one best suits you. Over time, treat yourself to a special sensual experience by trying and comparing the qualities of each
