Description of Wintergreen Essential Oil

Wintergreen essential oil has a strong, sweet, aromatic scent. The color of the oil is pale yellow to pinkish. It is steam distilled from the leaves of a broadleaf evergreen.

There are claims that it is not possible to find a natural Wintergreen essential oil. It is true that many dishonest companies are guilty of rebadging Wintergreen Oil. They do so because Wintergreen contains 99% methyl salicylate naturally, and it is therefore cheaper to make a methyl salicylate synthetic product, but it is dishonest to describe this synthetic substitute as being natural. Wintergreen essential oil Gaultheria from The Aromatherapy Place is a 100% pure and natural essential oil distilled from Gaultheria precumbens. It is considered the finest natural Wintergreen Oil.
