The two main species of Rose used for aromatherapy are Rosa damascena and Rosa centifolia. Nature provides us with two treasures obtained from these roses: an essential oil and an absolute. The essential oil is obtained by water distillation of the whole flowers, the absolute by solvent abstraction of the leaves and flowers.

Rose Otto essential oil Bulgarian has a warm, floral, marginally spicy, aroma, very rich with a hint of honey. The color of the oil is pale yellow to olive yellow. It is water distilled from the delicate whole flowers. Traditional Bulgarian Rose is considered the finest Rose Otto.
