Chamomile German essential oil
has a characteristic, strong, sweet, green-herb scent with almost apple like back notes. The pure, undiluted oil has an intense odor which some find overwhelming and unpleasant. The true oil is a deep, inky-blue color and is somewhat viscous. This Chamomile contains normal levels of azulene. It is steam distilled from the dried flower heads of M. recutita.
