Description of Bergamot Essential Oil
The scent of Bergamot essential oil is rich, with a fruity top note, followed by a herbaceous and balsamic odor. The color of the oil fades as it exposed to air, and particularly light. It eventually turns yellow or pale olive-brown. Bergamot essential oil is cold pressed from the peel of the bergamot fruit. The fruit originates from an upright tree which grows up to 12m (39ft) in height Italian folklore claims the tree was brought by Columbus from the Canary Islands during his travels
