Description of Aniseed Essential Oil

The scent of Aniseed China Star essential oil can be described as being warm, spicy, extremely sweet, and liquorice-like. Aniseed Oil is a clear to very pale-yellow colored oil. It is steam distilled from the fresh or partly dried whole fruits of an evergreen tree

Star Anise has been used in Chinese medicine for over 1,300 years. It was cultivated by the ancient Egyptians as a medicine and spice and was well known by the Greeks and Romans as a 'pick-me-up.' It is now used most often as an oriental domestic spice.
