Description of Henna Powder
Henna is commonly knows as mehendi in the Indian language. Its botanical name is lawsonia inermis. The leaves of the Henna plant are green in color & grow on a small traditional Indian shrub amid the tropical climate of the deserts of Rajasthan, India.
Red Henna Powder has been used in natural hair coloring for centuries. When a paste of red henna powder is applied to the hair, it leaves a subtle, but not dramatic, reddish-brown color. It is not a dye, but rather an all natural, harmless alternative to chemical hair dyes.
Neutral Henna Powder, Cassia obovata, made from a variety of pure Henna leaves, gives little or no coloring effect. It is used for hair conditioning and gives a natural shine & luster to hair.
